Connection, innovation & funding in FNQ

Far North locals can learn more about the Federal Government programs, grants and funding available to business and industry across the region on Monday, November 29.

The Connection, Innovation and Funding in FNQ event is a collaboration between RDA Tropical North, Office of Northern Australia, AusIndustry and NAIF.

Brenda McAuliffe, Director of Strategy from the Office of Northern Australia will provide an update on how the Australian Government is supporting economic development in northern Australia, including exciting new funding opportunities and in particular the newly released Northern Australia Development Program.

Renee Chilton, Regional Manager (North Queensland) will provide crucial information on how AusIndustry supports your business to grow, diversify and thrive through a range of government programs and services. They connect you with the right advice, networks, opportunities and funding to help you build your business.

Gerard Paynter, Executive Director – Stakeholder Relations and Communications from NAIF – Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility. NAIF is investing in infrastructure in a range of sectors that are vital economic drivers of northern Australia. In providing finance, NAIF has a strong focus on driving economic growth, public benefit and positive indigenous and local community outcomes. Gerard will provide a brief on the current mandate reforms that provide greater lending flexibility and opportunity.

Sonja Johnson, Chief Executive Officer – RDA Tropical North will provide an insight into RDATN’s current activities, priorities and focus for the region across the quadruple bottom-line – economic, environmental, social and cultural.
